A Specimen Validity Test (SVT) is one that determines that a specimen is directly from the donor. This is usually accomplished through the use of temperature activated drug test strips. Anything below or above a defined temperature is considered to be positive drug test. SVT tests may also determine whether specimens have been diluted or adulterated in any way.
